I own one Dads record, and unless I just straight up pitch it I'll never be able to get rid of it. Can Vinyl be recycled?
I take all my junk vinyl to a record store about every 6-9 months. They only give about $1/LP but for stuff I know I’ll never sell its better than nothing
Bumping this again in case people missed it. This (and the first) list rules! Things I've really enjoyed from it: Hannah Cohen Michael Cormier Oh, Rose Erin Durant Joanna Sternberg ings String Machine community college Friendship Field Guides ahem Stolen Jars Nina Keith German Error Message (duh)
I see on a website a band called Better Off are quite highly rated but I seem to remember something went on with that band. Is it true or am I confusing them with another band?
there on tour / fill in bassist was an abuser , and they took the stance o “I’d rather break up the band forever than hold our Fill in temp bassist accountable” they than came back years later non apologetic and assumed they did the right thing. Band is trash
Better Off/Luke specifically tried to get the accuser to pay for the guy’s therapy, tried to convince her it didn’t happen, and are just pretending that all is forgiven
Also I’m gonna toss out a hot take: the way new young emo bands act online is both embarrassing and harmful and uses a lot of harassment/brigading techniques that makes me severely uncomfortable
McCafferty was the king of this. Name search and quote tweet anyone who says something slightly critical so your large internet following attacks them. Very popular among gamergaters
Ugh. Yeah, I can agree that McCafferty is pretty insufferable. I guess I was thinking bands like P Daddy, Gami, and the like and couldn't make the connection.
Yeah like there are bands in that ilk that do stuff like this, those two generally don’t bc they’re nice people but I see if pretty often bc I have to follow all of these bands and use socials as a promoter
