Bummed to see v little Holding Patterns or Seagulls love on these lists. Both really excellent albums a lot of y’all would enjoy.
Most of what I liked this year has been called out in the thread so I’ll just name the one I haven’t seen, which is Yeah Is What We Have - Through the Window
Truth Club has been my biggest surprise this year, haven't stopped going back to it since I first heard it I'm gonna try a few more times to get into the P Daddy record

even these lists are intimidating with like 50 albums and artists ive never even heard of, lol. don't even know where to start. I'll just try and listen to a song from each and see what stands out I guess, lol.
haha yeah I was gonna say I do enjoy a good handful of these records, but a lot of them I would never think of as emo (i.e. Strange Ranger, Field Medic). Lots of these records seem grouped together based on ethos more than anything, which is cool.
Definitely have lots to check out, I only really found myself into I Love Your Lifestyle and Oso Oso. I feel really bad about it considering the circumstances (and that I love their first two records), but I wasn't that into the Somos record and haven't gone back to it at all.
If Make Mistakes by the world is... and cycles by snowroller are any indication, this is gonna be an incredible release. Been wanting to hear solo stuff from them for a while now
part two from the lovely folks at gold flake paint Essential Listening: The hidden gems of 2019 (Part Two)
Nice! Nina Keith apparently grew up around me and their album is named after my current zipcode, lol. I'll have to check that one out
I made a decade list, but more importantly I made a playlist companion to it. 2 songs from each of my top 50 and 50 more sporadic songs. Most but not all fit into this thread. it’s called “I was sixteen ten years ago”
