had no idea about gender roles but that new album is pretty killer

 

At the risk of sounding like an idiot are there any bands y’all recommend that are more along the lines of late 90s/early 00s emo than just indie rock or indie pop? For reference my favorite releases of the past couple years have been Peregrine, Dark Spring, Somerset Thrower, and Rich People but I feel like I’m falling behind a bit in the new emo department

 

From this year or in general?

 

Preferably this year, last year too though!

Thanks everybody! Added them all, will report back. Gender Roles rules! I think somebody recced them the last time I asked so I've had that for a bit. I Love Your Lifestyle might still be my fav from the genre this year. Need to go back to that one
