Rewatched it today after buying it and loved it all over again. Such a good movie.

Got this from Redbox today and I'm mad at myself for not seeing this sooner. The realism of the characters really floored me, and I think this is a movie people of all ages can take a lot of good lessons from without feeling too preachy or overdone.

This was very good. Hailee Steinfeld is so good in this. I wish she'd be in more stuff like this and less "Pitch Perfect."

  5. I thought I would really like this, but it just wasn't happening. I understand why the protagonist was lashing out, but she didn't have enough redeeming qualities to get me on her side.

I am distraught that I didn't see this movie when it was in theaters, as this was totally worthy of all its praise. This may even be better than most of the John Hughes films it's been compared to

I think this and Perks of Being a Wallflower can totally compete.

I rented this on Bluray and then couldn't find my bluray remote for the life of me and it won't let me play without a remote so...for another time I guess

I liked this a ton, but I absolutely adore Perks. Perks is one of the best movies to come out in the past 5 years in my opinion.

Yeah I don't think this is anywhere near as good as perks

  12. This was excellent! We've been spoiled with really good coming of age movies the last 5 years. Perks is probably the last one I still need to see

It's been playing on HBO or one of those channels and I can't stop watching it. It connects with me so much. I can't think of anything that captures a teenage girl's emotions better.

"You know what you need? You need someone to rob you so you can reenact Home Alone."

I laugh about that line (and Hailee's delivery) a lot for some reason. I love how real the humor in this movie is.

    I do not exist.

Forgot to say at the time but I bought my wife this for Christmas last year because everyone was saying how good it was on Chorus. Great recommendation everyone. Seeing the thread bumped reminded me!
