just listened to When I Hit the Ground for the first time in like 10+ years. think it's just okay, too overlong and some really lazy writing in there, but it's pretty cool how he split his sound into the poppier stuff on there and his weirder side on The World We Know. it's wild those two came out so close together (I also listened to Hiraeth but it was terrible and I don't have anything much to say about it lol)
I liked that song alright but the rest? uhh diminishing returns also thought it was funny that a nine-song 30-minute album had a whole song recycled from Enola lol. sometimes it's okay to just make an EP!
Some people like some music some people don't like some music I like Gold Rush, people I know don't, people like Lilac, I don't. It's just so funny seeing these conversations sometimes. I would love to see someone just say "The Rooms Too Cold is the worst album ever made"
In Currents is the superior comeback album of the 3 albums they've since released getting back together imo
I'm sure I've said it in here before, but while Imbue has some of their best songs, there's a run of like 3-4 songs in the middle/back that are very forgettable. Album is very uneven to me
for me i jammed the fuck out of in currents when it came out, the next two didn't get played as much, i bought the cds to support but i know i definitely spun them less then i did with currents, i was really into that comeback album!
