there were much better versions of Gods and Connected on myspace before the gold rush era lol. but i like gold rush too and i throw it on pretty often (especially on a sunny spring morning)
I'm very late to the party, but if we're talking When I Hit the Ground, I always thought the similarity of the bridge of the title track and Days Aways' "Stay the Same" was noteworthy. If this has been discussed here in the past then I apologize (and I really like that song either way) but did anyone from either band ever say anything about it?
I remember Ace had to address infringement claims on the title track, but I thought it was regarding a Northstar song.
the question i wanna ask is which version of REACTION do you all prefer? the one off secret wars OR when i hit the ground?
I don't remember hearing about that, was there an article or interview somewhere? A quick google isn't finding anything. I always figured there was pretty much no way that Ace hadn't heard the Days Away song, but anything is possible I reckon.
Unless something makes major $$$ it's silly for me for these types of bands to be suing each other. Especially a guy like Ace who has written 100's maybe 1000's of songs. That song literally does nothing for his catalogue.
as much as I enjoy the dude's music trying to keep track of Ace's solo shit is like rocket science lmao. got like four projects with marginally different names from each other, some of which cross over, plus even more that technically aren't released but are out there. it's a lot
I feel like he needs to create a solo project that puts out the best of his solo project songs. I'm only half kidding.
Chronological: - For All Of This - Acoustic EP - The Room's Too Cold - ICMAM - TMTMTP - The Secret Wars - When We Hit The Ground - The World We Know - Dustin Off The Ol Guitar - Gold Rush - In Currents - Enola - Growing In - Imbue - #HIRAETH - silver and gold - Fifteen Years - Clear Eyes Fanzine - Lilac - Twenty
that is useful, never even heard of Hiraeth before now lol those first two I Can Make a Mess albums were my shit back in the day
meh, didn't feel it was necessary to include a Christmas release, but yeah Clear Eyes should be between Fifteen Years and Lilac, I'll edit
I don't think it occurred to me until seeing it listed out that we haven't had a Mess album in almost 10 years.
