too much Gold Rush and not enough from the more recent albums, but I would have enjoyed if I was there of course
I get the theme of the setlist but shocked to see In Currents (the song) off the set, I’d be disappointed not to see some Lilac too. Edit: Turns out since I last saw TEN In Currents has been dropped from the set haha, I’m so behind here in Australia
Yeah, it's a bit weird. Although it as a very strong setlist. ICMAM's too! Also, who is playing on that tour with them outside of Ace and Jeff as the core members? Did I understand that well from some comments that one of the musicians is Ace's brother? Are the other members now done with playing music? I know Joe is a manager, and Serg had his own project, what about Bill? (just came to realize I remember all their names, which is rare - that's if I haven't fucked it up somehow)
Bill played with them on the last tour I saw them in a few years ago. I believe Serg was there along with Jeff too. I saw in an interview a few months ago that all 5 original members "have a plate at the table whenever they want to eat", but those plates will be filled with others for the meals the main guys wanna skip. Pretty much, they get first dibs on a tour if they wanna play it and it fits with their current life schedule or not.
Man, I listened to those first two releases again, and I gotta say, they really struck gold there. Such a unique band on drive thru and honestly just in general for the scene and era
Still think if they put their egos aside for TMTMTP they could’ve become something huge. I think that albums great, but it wasn’t the hit churning album people were expecting. Hair was such a left field lead single too.
I think they would even agree it was extremely ambitious and probably cost them a bit (album still rips though)
Yeah I remember Ace referencing it in interviews that he made poor business decisions with that album
The TEN set is awesome. Can’t wait to see them next week. I never listened to ICMAM after the first album. So that set works for me. I guess Vinnie decided to not do the as advertised “full the Movielife” set. Kind of bummed about that as I’ve never seen the Movielife. I like his other stuff, too, so it’ll still be fun. Just weird it was set up to be so and then it’s just not happening.
very fun time kinda wild that they can still bring such joy to my heart got really emotional during old man/you're not so good at talking...will love those songs forever
Got tickets for Chicago next Friday and I'm stoked. Haven't seen TEN proper since like 2005. My fiancee is gonna love it. I sent her "The Room's Too Cold" and she said "This band sounds like they could have been on The OC" lol. For those that have been to this tour, is Vinnie or Ace opening?
Surprising.... 2 sets in a night is tough enough, I wouldnt think Ace would wanna do two sets in a row. Impressive. Looking forward to Austin on Friday! Anyone else coming?
I’m too lazy to search for a Vinnie thread. He played a brand spanking new song tonight. Untitled as of now, but he described it at Jack Johnson with a Percocet. I got a video of it.
