Thanks, it's much appreciated. I agree, coulda been placed towards the ending of the album. I'll message you my email and we can go from there. You saved my life kinda.
Didn't it come after TWWK? I see why it's not on Gold Rush. Wonder what a follow up with We Ignite and Growing Pains would have been like
Good argument, I believe ignite came out mid 2010 whereas twwk early that year. Cool, I'm glad I stirred up a conversation about the song ha. nohandstoholdonto - yeah if I get it I'll hook you up. It has like an old man/train stop (other mess songs) vibe imo.
Just sent it out! Check ya emails. If anyone else wants the song and doesn't have it - DM your GMail. On the same note, if anyone has the few (4-5) tracks Ace released via Bandcamp as the 'song of the month' thingy, I'd love to have those.
Idk why I'm just seeing this now, but TEN played "Outside" at the show they did with The Movielife in Philly. Really upset I missed that...
Very cool! Sidenote, Money In His Hand was always my favorite TEN opener... but then Narrow Mouth happened. But fuck, this band always has the best closers. Seriously every closer on every album is incredible.
thanks! nothing really touches TMTMTP for me, but "Narrow Mouth" is like perfect. That song and Imbue got me through a tough year and I love it so so much. Oh, and yes. I want them to play "Nothing Lasts Forever" so much
i remain of the opinion that The Car in 20 might be the best song on The Mother, Mechanic, and Path, but yeah all the closers are pretty damn solid
also i will almost certainly at some point get the symbols of each of those three albums tattooed on me somewhere
love that song, that's like that big climax that finally lets Ace's vocals move from the more understated work he does early in the record to just angry and loud and I love it
also shoutout to @nohandstoholdonto for being the other biggest TEN fan I know. Both her and Jordan have helped me get into this wonderful band. Still think The Mechanic is my favorite single record this band has done but I love everything.
