Real Friends are much bigger. In my town, their last tour came to an 1,100 cap venue and they sold it out. TEN's last tour came to a 400 person venue and it didnt sell out, even with Dangerous Summer as direct support.

Whoa...that seems nuts that a 400 didn’t sell out with those two.

Edit: in NY??? What the fuck?

Yepppp. It was at the Brooklyn Bazaar. And tickets were only like $15. Definitely didn't sell out cuz me and a friend were really on the fence about going, and we called the venue right at showtime to see if tickets were still available.
I also saw TEN in New Jersey for a hometown show in 2017 where they played The Room's Too Cold in full. 800 cap venue, and I swear it looked less than half full.

Makes me sad that one of my favorite bands lost so much of their fanbase like that.

Yeah, they don’t really sell out venues here in Boston anymore either.

The poster has it NFG/RF/TEN but from what I know/heard TEN is playing second to last

Real Friends is direct support, Ten is definitely playing second. Probably will get 35 mins though

They used to sell out every show they did in Philly when they came back in 2011 and I don’t think they even sold out the TLA the last time they played there, and that’s the smallest venue they’ve played in Philly since 2011. Really bums me out but it ain’t stopping me from enjoying the fuck out of their shows.

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

I wonder if we get the full band in the west coast dates.

  10. It will probably be the way it typically is. Ace, whoever else is available, and then hired guns.

I can't remember the last time I saw Joe playing with them.

  12. I think Joe and Serg both played back when I saw them on the Lydia tour in 2015. But since then, Bill and Ace have been the only ones I've seen. I haven't seen Jeff play with them since Warped Tour 2005 or whatever it was.

Whats weird was I believe Joe was at their last show at the TLA in Philly but he wasn't playing. I could be wrong but thats what I heard from a friend.

  17. maybe he didn't have time to practice for the show or something

I’m curious - what is it about TEN’s lineup that people make such a big deal of “ace and hired guns” vs the actual lineup? I’ve seen them a few times and realistically come to the conclusion that it’s Ace’s world and I’m just experiencing it. It never matters who is on stage with him to me.

I see the comments and compare it to Senses Fail, where people are just totally fine with it being the Buddy Nielsen show. Why is everyone super chill with one band doing it that way, but TEN threads always have this discussion?

I’m not trying to be rude, genuinely curious what the big deal is. Is it because with SF, and some other artists, the band has announced their departures? TEN seems to have guys who record and tour part time with them, so they’re technically still involved? Is that it?

Isn't Jeff a producer for NBC now? Can see why he wouldn't be able to make all the tours

  24. Idk, I think TEN fans just really have a connection with the band members. The members are all original and all take part in writing/playing on the records. Senses Fail, from what I can tell, has been sort of a revolving door of musicians in the band for the majority of their career, not just the stage players but on the actual records as well.
