First thing I thought was if they come out in a couple months and say it's a double album I'll probably just die of excitement without ever hearing it.
i want more rock n roll TEN give me an album of Frayed In Doubt and Decoration and The Negatives. Get heavy and start screaming have Kurt Ballou produce it I'll see yall in the pit
I'd have to skip making an EOTY list because I wouldn't know what to do with TEN, TWY, Manchester Orchestra, The Menzingers, and Circa Survive. Plus there's always the possibility of Brand New. I'd just post the "Footage Not Found" screengrab from Arrested Development and call it a day.
It is crazy to me cause when I found this band they had already broken up. They became my favorite band and I really thought I'd never get to see them or they would never release new music. Now we are getting a 3rd album since their reunion and I've seen them nearly a dozen times. Beyond grateful.
I'll never forget the day I found out they were going on hiatus. Only band hiatus I ever cried over. Those first two albums meant a lot to me back in the day and mean even more to me now years later. Glad you found them! One of my top three bands of all time.
i had no idea they were that high up for you haha a TEN/Thursday tour would be cool idk i just feel like they would work well together, random thought. Imbue and IC almost feel like their own double album IC feels like the lighter side while Imbue feels darker. another random thought. Ace is an underappreciated lyricist
TEN, Brand New, and Jimmy Eat World! They're my holy trinity haha TWY, Starting Line, Manchester Orchestra, couple others are on the next tier.
That time TWY opened up for TEN on a tour with The Swellers and Young Statues... That was a stacked tour and it didn't even come to Philly. That was before In Currents was out I believe.
I went to that show and it made me really sad. I had a great time, but the crowd nearly disappeared after TWY. While it gave me a really great spot for TEN, it was a bummer to see a tiny crowd for them
I wasn't surprised before the show, but I was after. It's just a case of me not realizing how big TWY were because of my age I guess, not being in tune with what bands are popular with the kids. Also, I can only imagine that TWY would have felt weird headlining over them, so they could have suggested it maybe
I keep reliving TRTC anniversary show in my head. That may have been the best show I've ever been to.
May or may not have cried tears of joy at at that show from the thought of them even being a band again order to DO a ten-year show. Receiving conflicting reports.
Same...it was something I'd never though I'd see. Side story: My friends and I always hit up Prohibition Taproom before shows at Union Transfer. Someone walked in on me taking a leak and it was Serg...awesome/awkward moment.
I can't believe they're even considering a double album, I guess touring on TMTMTP rubbed off on them. ...hope they don't break up bc of this one tho.
That is awesome. Fun fact: I made the downpayment on my fiance's engagement ring at Prohibition while waiting for the TMTMTP show this year haha
