I'm on the left lower balcony if anyone wants to come say hello. I'm wearing a blue flannel and glasses
I was front in the front and managed to grab Ace's setlist. Every Nights wasn't on it but there was no way they were ending a show in Philly without it haha. 24 songs is crazy for them. I've seen them many times and they've never done a set that long.
absolutely one of my favorite shows ever. definitely the longest set I've ever seen them play. "Never Coming Back" was so emotional. "Money In His Hand" (finally!!!) had me screaming. I'm so happy
Ended up having to leave after they played I Don't Care and missed Every Night's Another Story, which they didn't play at the other show. :\ In all honesty though, good as they were tonight I definitely think the show in Cambridge was better overall. Fewer technical difficulties and Ace's vocals were a bit stronger that night.
Was really great to see them do songs I've never seen before. First time seeing Never Coming Back, Make A Decision, No Good At Saying Sorry, Outside, and Scared To Lose. Think Outside might have been my favorite from the night, but it is hard to say because the whole show was insane. Probably will go down as one of my favorite TEN shows so far. I think only the Electric Factory reunion show tops it.
Seeing Make a Decision live def gave me a new appreciation for it, tho I still loved it, it's always been one of my least favorites on TMTMTP.
Thoughts on Fifteen Years? I think my favorites were Narrow Mouth, Outside, Tell Me Why, Wedding Bells, A Little More Time, and In Currents. Wish he did a little more with some of the tracks but overall a nice listen and good to have another TEN acoustic release all this time later.
Loved Figure It Out too, forgot about that one. Frayed In Doubt felt a little disjointed, I was kinda bummed by that cause it's one of my favorites from that record.
I think Ace's voice has always been just a bit underrated. I really think it's up there with the Anthony Greens of the world. Just really has a good range. Having said that, Fifteen Years is delightful.
green is great, but i think our perception, or at least my perception, of his voice/singing gets a big boost from the sheer uniqueness of it. as a result i sometimes have to be in the mood for it. Ace, however, has a remarkable balance between soft and gruff that i agree is underrated and quite frankly i think is one of the best our scene has to offer.
Okay went through the whole thing. Whole thing is good but Sunday drive was a disaapohtiment for me. Anyway it sounds like he sat in a room and played the songs on guitar and sang the whole time. That would explain pitch correction bc they all would be one take
Thought the same. I get why he felt the need to include that song but it was just like a mirror of the original with less emotion haha, which is what made me like the original to begin with.
Such a good version of Mountain Range. Boxing Timelines is also undeniably the best song they've made since the reunion
