Love the Christmas song Ace did with the dude from Man Overboard in their new studio. Sounds/looks great!

 

DAMN that song sounds amazing. I wouldn't mind the next TEN record being in that vein for its entirety. Only quip was that the vocals were a touch low but other than that I really loved it.

 

It's amazing how much Ace has grown as a producer, even over the last two to three years.

 

Yeah, I had read a recent interview where Ace mentions he recently got into the full groove of song writing and stuff. I noticed his lyrics, to an extent, have gotten better. A stand out song, lyrically, is Narrow Mouth.

 

The lyrics on Imbue are some of my favorites written by him.

 

Imbue is probably their best album... but rooms too cold will always be my favorite. Can't wait to hear this acoustic record

You talkin' about on the christmas song? Immediately made me wanna go to that studio and pay for recording haha. Not to mention, it would be with Ace who is a huge inspiration.

I got one of the 250, I had the webpage all ready to go and then got into a simpsons episode or 2 and forgot until 230. woo

 

I like this version of Decoration, will probably preorder digitally

Yeah, I like the way they did the chorus in this version a lot but I'm not super in love with the verses or bridge yet. I adore the Path version of Decoration, tho, only wish it were longer.

Still disagree. The rendition on TMTMTP has string instruments backing it and is much slower.

i have no self control and bought a 750 variant too.

as per the debate, ya, it's similar. but i dont think ace went into this trying to reinvent the wheel. he wanted to make acoustics(which most TEN fans love) of songs that werent available acoustically before.

and they have to include songs they've done before, they're TEN staples. people would have complained if they werent on there. Plus, we don't know what hes done with the song yet, maybe its some subtle changes here or there. maybe its nothing. who knows? i'm just excited to have some "new" TEN music to listen to.
