This sounds like Copeland a little bit but on first listen the production makes it really hard to enjoy. Going to see if a night drive helps it click a little better.
I need to listen to this more. I’ll most likely get something back for saying this..... IDK why but this album made me feel like I was listening Dashboard Confessionals - A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar. Could be the production. That’s actually a compliment too lol.
I dunno I don't have an issue with the production, I think this is their most cohesive album. There isn't a song on here that I skip, which is saying a lot for me when it comes to this band, I usually skip a couple songs on each album.
My one gripe with the production was Comatose. Felt like the chorus was too thin and the volume seemed lower in general on that song. Reminded me of the way some of the songs were mixed on Enola like "Close Enough". Absolutely love both of those songs though, and I can get past it, haha.
This didn’t really do much for me in first listen. To me, it just sounds like another Ace solo album, and the production is a little rough at times. Hoping his will grow on me. Hit by a Car is my favorite so far honestly.
I get this but also the bridge of My Weakness more than makes up for the lack of it throughout the rest of the record for me. Jeff’s drumming in that section is probably my single favorite moment on the record, instrumentally.
Okay, digging the vibe of this album. It really reminds me of early full band Dashboard Confessional and even some early Lydia. Still not sure why lol. I think my top 3 right now are You On My Mind Comatose Hit By A Car
The needle in my hand is coming down Drilling through my chest, but it's oil they found Washing over me, then drying out Hoping for a heart, but it's coal that they found
Holy shit those interviewers couldn’t be more clueless as to who Ace/TEN were. Not that he/they are a household name but don’t they have a research department?
I’m really liking this Perfect Sphere is already one of my favorite TEN tracks. You Own My Mind, Our Choice and The Lilac are also standouts for me. Only thing I’m not loving is Ace’s vocals are mixed a little off on this. Still overall, this is great.
Perfect Sphere is fucking stunning and I love Ave Maria. but I will admit I'm really curious to hear the super dark version of the album before he changed it up
