Wow I haven't listened to that in years. Great song. I wish the version of Just Enough recorded during TRTC sessions was released.
It exists but not anywhere online. I forget where I read it but I know for a fact that Just Enough was rerecorded during TRTC, along with the full band version of Make It Happen. It was suppose to come out with the b-sides album that Drive-Thru was gonna put out but it never happened. That's a constant theme with this band too. The 2007 shows at the Troc were supposed to be released on DVD, never happened. The 2011 reunion show in Philly was suppose to be released on DVD, never happened. The 2013 TRTC show at Union Transfer was suppose to be released as a live album and that never happened either.
Yeah it's frustrating. They sounded SO tight at The Room's Too Cold anniversary show too and I was so pumped that it was gonna be a live album. 6 years later and still nothin :(
They’ve already said TRTC live album is not happening. Awhile back they said the audio didn’t turn out the best.
leak it on youtube and give the fans what they want! can't be worse than the fan shot videos on there haha
i'm convinced it's because you can hear me screaming and crying in the front row and it ruined the sound
imo, release it anyway as is, just don’t make a big fuss about promoting it. y’all paid the money to have it recorded, might as well make at least *something* off it, as long as you’re honest about the quality.
Yeah who owns all this stuff currently? Do a tour or whatever to raise money to get the rights back and release it for fans.
The live stuff post reunion is probably either them or Rise. The b-sides and live stuff from 2007 is probably all Drive Thru.
I'm only 25 minutes into the podcast right now, but Shane has got me so damn hyped for this album. Gonna have to preorder that vinyl tonight
Does DTR even own their stuff though? I imagine it’s someone else at this point. Looks like Universal at this point.
nice thanks for the heads up...I absolutely love Silverstein so listened to every episode for the first year and half but fell off after that as he started doing interviews with more "obscure" artists.
