Wow I wasn't expecting a Norwalk show. And the tour opener! Hmmm, do I take the train to Webster Hall, or drive to Norwalk?
If they stick to just the first two discs that'd be under 90 minutes. But I'm pretty sure when they did a 10 year tour for it in 2016 they just picked like 20 songs from the album to do.
I imagine they will play songs from all 3 albums, but won't play them in their entireties. I guess we'll see!
they only played 13 songs from all three discs for the 2017 shows. show was still incredible tho. Ace opened it up with Never Coming Back (and honestly that was a little cruel to make me sob uncontrollably on the first song), but that was the only Path song played, so 12 between The Mother and The Mechanic. I am so excited at the possibility of seeing even more of these songs live tho, like I wanted them to bust out The Car in 20 so bad for example but they didn’t. I posted this in here already fairly recently, but I’m gonna do it again bc why not:
This would be such a dope tour IF it wasn't album specific. Both bands put out much better albums after these. I said what I said.
You're not wrong. But as a TEN fanatic I'm pumped to see songs played that they probably never will again. HGB on the other hand.....wish they were doing WIKY. Outside of two songs I never return to the debut. The way they rebounded on their next record was incredible to see.
Oh It Is Love. Although to be fair I probably haven't listened to the album in 10 years and am having a tough time remembering anything else from it. Maybe I'll give it a listen this evening.
Always thought the first disc would develop into a scene classic and it surprises me to this day that it doesn’t make up most of their set list. That album has such strong “we need to play 5-7 songs from this album every show” vibes, though I say that as someone that didn’t get into them until it came out and never really developed nostalgia for anything before it.
