I really love this record. I'm a pretty casual fan, but this is probably in my top five of the first half of the year. Really bummed I'm out of town when they come through Chicago at the end of the month.
This is definitely their closest sounding album to Imbue. Unfortunately, Imbue is (easily) my least favorite TEN record. That said, I am really liking We Hang On, Tired of Lying, The Dirtiest Things and The Magician. Really hoping the rest grows on me.
Great album, up there for one of their best. Won't top In Currents but this is about as enjoyable as TEN gets for me.
It's how I felt when MCS lost Tony for their last album. It was noticeably different without his influence.
yah panic stations was a snooze for sure. what an album to go out on, cool they are back now though but yah i agree.
i enjoyed 152 a lot! i thought it was different for TBS, stardust i enjoyed but i forgot about it haha i haven't revisited it since it came out.
There's like three songs I really like off of the album, but you can tell it was just a much different experience for them all and they needed time. Hopefully the new stuff will be great.
my friend saw them last week in Dallas and i only recognized Justin in the videos, it looked like a whole different band behind him
Justin can't play guitar right now because of his injury and Jesse had to go home for a family emergency with his dad. So there's an extra person playing guitar on stage doing Justin's parts and a replacement on synth for right now until Jesse gets back. Everyone else is there. Josh just has a giant beard now haha.
This is my favorite album of the year so far. I can’t believe how many great production choices they made throughout. The record sounds incredible, the songs are so catchy but heeeavvvvy too. It’s amazing.
And… Ace’s voice has never sounded better. It’s almost unbelievable how he’s hitting some of those high notes. Well done, gents!
Finally listened to this in the car with the windows down today and WOW it hits different there. I love it.
