Are Sherri and Max just chillin raising their kiddos? I don't think I've heard anything about new Eisley since I saw them live a couple years ago
Yeah plus a few Kickstarter releases. But mostly I think they just have a big family now and music is tougher. Just my guess though.
This is true but then she did an instagram poll asking would people prefer singles or an album, and most voted for album, and they decided to work towards release an album. I voted singles at the time haha but because I read an interview where they said they prefer that and it was less pressure. But whatever works for them I will be listening!
Might as well spice (was gonna write spicen but apparently that's not a word) up this thread a bit... What's everyone's favorite Eisley album? Mine is definitely Currents. I'd prob personally rank them: Currents The Valley Room Noises Combinations I'm Only Dreaming I wanted to list my favorite song from each but having a hard time choosing. Louder Than a Lion is my favorite from IOD though. I want to go back and go through the EPs/older/unreleased stuff (including the baby) too. Time for a big listen
Honestly, aside from the newest one, I've liked every album more than the one before it. Not to say that I'm Only Dreaming is bad, Currents just hit a sweet spot for me.
I just find I miss most of these singles, whereas I would actually purchase an album and invest time in it. I might listen to a single once but because I don’t use streaming services I forget about it. I know I’m the minority there with still buying the music rather than subscribing.
I have little to no interest in Sherri/Eisley at this point, way too put off by her and Max over the last while. Plus the most recent Eisley song was embarrassingly bad
Room Noises turns 20 this year. Such an accomplished album for such a young band though. Had a little listen this evening and I still enjoy it.
I put this on at night sometimes when the feels are heavy, and there's no where else I can think of to talk about / have any one else appreciate it. I reckon a good number of fans have probably not heard it either but its a damn beautiful cover. A must for any DuPree or Eisley completist's collection.
Just went down a mini rabbit hole after seeing about cancelled Say Anything shows, ended up on Sherri's page and noted that Sherri and Stacy still don't follow each other (no surprise), but Chauntelle still follows both, then saw that Chauntelle was teasing new Rising Fawn music last year, with Sherri doing guest vocals. Then saw that Chauntelle follows Tucker Carlson, Jordan Peterson, Charlie Kirk, Donald Trump..... Sigh
I revisited Sucré’s discography lately. It’s a shame their debut album isn’t on Spotify. Glad to be reminded of Jeremy Larson, who I seem to recall was part of Sucré at some point as well?
