ALLB is pretty talented and i don't even like that stuff, curious about the new single because i know it's in a different direction

I'm gonna go to this for Owel (who are fantastic) pretty much. The other two opening bands are not that great. Never been a big ALLB but their two new songs are pretty good so maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised

Complete opposite for me on this tour, I love Household and HLL which is why I'm going to this show. Never listened to Owel though, ALLB is the worst band stemming from DGD by a long shot.

depends on what era of ALLB you think of? early pre kurt ALLB was great, kurt ALLB was just like happiness light, new ALLB i'm not sold on based on the song i heard but those expectations were just raised because of the hype

Owel are truly the best, gonna try to go if I can for them

Based on Spotify plays, Owel is way bigger than the other two openers. Household only has 3000 monthly listeners compared to 73k for Owel.

I really wish I could go to this. The venue is just over a mile from my house, but I'm already seeing The 1975 the same night. I'm curious to see if they will still play Kurt-era songs or strictly DIVISI songs.

See I didn't know there was ALLB prior to Kurt. I've just seen them like 3 times with Kurt and they were incredibly dull.

Yeah I have no idea why Owel are billed first. I have a bad-ish feeling this tour isn't going to sell well but I'll still show up for those guys

yeah their early stuff is pretty unique and experimental, became a lot more straightforward with kurt involved

owel have a different kind of bigness, when i saw them headline a show there were like maybe 3 people there for them, this was last year and this new record didn't get the publicity of the last one at least when it comes to a critical realm. they're also just incredibly sonically different from the other ones too

I guess, I mean they even have double the amount of monthly listeners that ALLB.

ALLB is definitely bigger, post-rock leaning stuff is also huge on spotify, small bands have a ton of listeners

Possibly because ALLB hasn't released a record since 2013.

on the positive side, Owel are getting a lot of clout amongst Coheed fans because people keep making Jay cover their songs lol

It's since I don't hear the similarities between Happiness and ALLB's 2 albums much, and you usually have spot on opinions about bands sounds and comparisons. It just comes down to what I hear in the music compared to you. I think Eternity Forever is way more Happiness Kurt than anything ALLB's done, especially No Place

Per Setlist.fm, A Lot Like Birds played DIVISI in full. Can anyone confirm?

Can't say I'm shocked unfortunately. Band's been off the road for a year +, change in sound not all fans are digging, less than inspiring openers (except Owel, who are the most inspiring haha)
