Ice of Boston is one of their best songs, but I had a very hard time getting into "Is Terrified" and especially "!" on the whole. Change is a wonderful album imo.
I do not like Rozwell Kid but honestly I'm not really a big Weezer fan, just a huge Pinkerton fan tbh
So I know I'm gonna get shit for this, but.... this is one of my favorite albums. Though my copy is missing Memory Machine and I Love a Magician[\spoiler]
Best 90s Alt Rock album, although I have to also rep hard Laughing Stock, Painful, and Exile in Guyville. Probably a few others, too. Fiestas & Fiascos deserves more love. I can't pick a Mountain Goats release from the 90s, but I want to. Bee Thousand, too.
talk talk is a great band nobody talk talks about enough on here i may like spirit of eden more though
Hi Emergency & I is really good, I listened to it five times today while driving and also there are at least two parts on the album that heavily reminded me of two different Hotelier songs that I think lifted the chords and rhythm directly from parts of this song and expanded them and I'm into it. I think it's Discomfort Revisited and maybe Sun? anyway, album is tight, more accessible than ...Is Terrified but guess what I love them both equally for different reasons, even though this blew me away a lot faster. I'm gonna listen to it a sixth time with the lyrics in front of me tonight
I think I might already know the lyrics to Girl O Clock and You Are Invited after today but yeah I enjoy Travis' wordplay a lot so that's def happening tonight. Also I saw a Tiny Desk session where they played songs from the new album and I don't get the hate but also im sure the different arrangements makes a difference
I would never be able to pick up most of the girl o'clock lyrics without them in front of me or already knowing them I don't think, ha
Girl O' Clock is interesting enough that after hearing it the first time I sit up and listen intently on subsequent listens to try and hear what's going on. The stutter makes it hard and I was being slightly hyperbolic but I think I know a large portion of it for sure
