I love how diverse this album is just in terms of instrumentals/emotions/vocal styles. Its really something else. I can totally see how this was seen as so mindblowing at the time, hell it still is. Btw Casey youre wrong Clarity is the best album of the 90s but this one is definitely a good runner up @cwhit
Clarity is the best album. Ever. But back to Emergency & I, its very weird and engaging and just a great listen. Its also extremely pertinent and intelligent which is also super appealing.
Been listening to E&I all week since someone said they're an influence on The Hotelier and I haven't stopped listening to it, so good.
Never really checked out their first album now thinking about it. Any good? I've heard Onward Fat Girl, and it sounded like they had a more Post Hardcore sound than their other releases.
Change is their best IMO really unique band, one of the few that have an original sound that isn't easy to emmulate
Change is fantastic, but I give the edge to E&I. Though Change does have Sentinental Man, and Come Home.
If I don't have a n-n-nervous b-b-breakdown by the end of the week I'm going to be very, very surprised
I love Emergency and I. What a great album that is. You are invited always puts a great visual in my head of my lonely neighbor sitting on his porch haha
