Josh from Foxing was selling a bunch of vinyl and I saw he was gonna sell E&I 2xLP and I'm like "oh cool, gonna cop" and one of the first fucking comments i see is Christian from the Hotelier calling dibs on it and I was fucking livid

My girlfriend was telling me how much this band meant to her last night and sent me a couple songs. I'm currently listening to Emergency & I for the first time at 3 AM absolutely blown away. This album is insane.

 

What songs did she send to get you into it?

 

She actually sent me Time Bomb and The Other Side from Change haha... I ended up listening to that full album too and both albums are fantastic.

My girlfriend has also gotten me into Cursive and a lot of other stuff, so yeah, really grateful to be with her for a lot of reasons lol

 

Time bomb is so good I first heard that song on a live video and was blown away. Check out Is Terrified when you get a chance, it's definitely different and lacking the parts of them that makes them singular, but the songwriting and oddball rhythms are still there as well as Travis's humorous lyrics.

She's on some other music things online and goes to way more shows than me haha... but she also works a LOT and doesn't have much free time, I've mentioned this site before and she's always too busy lol

@CoffeeEyes17 and @tucah both told me to listen to this last night while we were talking and I listened to it on my way to work and damn, what an album. I'm late to the party but this is seriously so good

I tried listening to Emergency & I like 10 different times and i can't get into it. On paper its everything I should adore, but I can't. Gonna keep trying though, mind over my stupid fucking ears

 

I probably just completely missed it one day haha, I usually check stuff out when you suggest it
