yea, w the added element of BRAINS, which is sensible life you have all this shit, but what matters is what you do with it think but do not overdoit too
I revisited IARB and I really really love it, but E&I and TUO take the edge for me. I think E&I is a little more musically interesting and TUO is more brutally honest and lyrically ambitious. But IARB is a really good melding of a lot of things. It's weird to think it was to be a musical.
Honestly it just comes down to me liking the songs a lot more on IARB. I can relate and get more out of those lyrics despite the other two being very well written. I think the vocals hold E&I back a lot for me, I much prefer the vocal style of the other two which do genuinely sound like musical's at times, ha. I can definitely see how IARB was heading in that direction. I can see what would make people prefer the other two though.
Blame me for that, haha. I take most credit for how talked about this band has become Also feel bad about some people who tried similarly to get some older acts talked about, haha
it's a shame, but that's life too, dealing with the shit - you can't silence the shit, you process it
Just listened to TUO and I'm listening to E&I now and I'm still kind of in the same place with them where I really like what they're doing as a whole and I like most of the songs but there's only really a handful on each that I love.
I found MIM at some dinky record shop in Charlotte and was so stoked to find it but it cost me like $40
They actually have them all for cheap near me I just rarely buy shit atm because I haven't started my job yet. I found Clarity on CD in a charity shop for 99p the other day though, ha.
I've been listening to it a lot, ha. JEW have been my go to band for a little while now. Also have you heard the new Sianvar album? I figure you'd probably enjoy it since you're a Circa/AG fan.
I've had The Ugly Organ saved to my ipod for a couple of years now and the only reason I haven't listened is because I wanted to listen to Domestica first. I also heard it got a remaster or something and I'm pretty sure mine is the original and I've no idea if that makes a difference, haha. SO I think I've been listening to Emergency & I every day since the first time. I love it so much that I've just been listening to a lot more things that are either new to me or that I was sort of neglecting in digesting all the way to see if maybe they'd hit me harder in the wake of this (EndSerenading and Diary have both benefited from this exercise).
