did you? maybe, haha. would have had to be back in like 2012, I saw them then at a festival and liked them then but didn't get really into them until seeing them again a year later. now this record is incredibly special to me and an easy top ten all time
i just found the thread you made about their new album (wait, what new album, i don't remember a new album coming out......................................................) right around that time, and i posted in there. you probably did at least mention them to me though, though i do have some friends that were super into them because, you know, DC.
we got the better setlist of the two DC nights, 6 E&I songs, second night only got four The Dismemberment Plan Setlist at 9:30 Club, Washington
Hi I'm a new fan and I love E&I are their other records worth checking out "Girl O'Clock" is the strangest and one of the most interesting rock songs I've ever heard.
shoutout to you and @nothingsforeverdude for inviting me. downloaded E&I and Change, both are exceptional
I don't like Change as much, though Time Bomb rules. emergency and I is just special special special, especially being from the DC area
Change has this darker quality to it like I like, plus its a little spacier which is cool. But yeah, E&I is a monumental piece of work and I'm loving every second of it. They do a great job of messing around with structures and tempos and its all great.
I've heard of the Dismemberment Plan, but never actually put the effort to listen to them. Your recommendation of Emperor X was my favorite this year, so I trust listening to Emergency & I.
Emperor X is probably real influenced by d-plan, always call them a combination of them and the mountain goats
So this album (Emergency & I) has come at a very....interesting time in my life. I just got fired from a job I hated and this album is sound tracking that.
If I don't have a n-n-nervous b-b-b-breakdown by the end of the week I'm going to be very, very SURPRISED
