I read the sex scenes are right in the beginning and that they're long and awkward lol

 

Just watched this again for the third or fourth time on YouTube. I love how Mark delivers most of his lines, you can tell he wasn't taking any of the movie very seriously. Also his outbursts of anger are gold. The fight scene at the end where they stop fighting only to continue fighting like 30 seconds later, and Jonny provoking him with his chicken calls lmaoo. So great. Then when Denny bursts in the room at the end when Jonny kills himself and orders Lisa and Mark to leave so Denny can be alone with him lmao. Then Mark gets pissed off again and yells at Lisa even though he had an equal hand in Jonny's death lol. So much overacting.

 

My favorite part about the end has always been when Denny is cradling Jonny's lifeless body and the actor accidentally slips by saying "Tommy". I don't know. Not many people talk about that part because it's just this tiny flub among many other major ones, but I love that they left that in there.

 

I've seen The Room probably 40+ times by now, it's a disease. I just introduce it to everyone I know. I've also developed a pretty good drinking game with it though so that helps.

Decided to finally watch The Room since a youtube link was posted. I'm 25min into it and there's ANOTHER sex scene wtf lol.

Well, I hope having watched The Room improves my viewing of The Disaster Artist, if anything.

I laughed a few times, but overall it was not great, it was naawwwwwt.

 

I honestly wouldn't have enjoyed the Room if I didn't watch it while reading The Disaster Artist. I think the backstory makes it a lot funnier

I've only seen the room at midnight theater showings and I can't imagine it even close to stacks up any other way

Saw The Room for the first time this weekend. I loved this movie. The lore behind Tommy and this movie has to be part of the reason people gravitate to it, but I think another part of it is that The Room is actually hilarious. Watching this movie as a dark, weird comedy helped me really love it.

 

The Tommy Wi-show was the best.
