Maybe they're still trying to keep James's Tommy voice a surprise? There's a bit of something there but I thought he'd be going all in
People who saw the movie at SXSW say his accent is much better/more true to Tommy in the rest of the movie.
I really really want to be in on the joke for this because I love Franco but I really don't want to watch The Room
Watch The Room dude. Every time you think, "oh god this is going to get old" they throw somethin else at you that is bat shit insane and entertaining.
I'm really not a big fan of "so bad its good" movies. The Room is genuinely ridiculous. I would at least watch some of the more popular scenes, and then read the book. The book might make you enjoy watching the movie more. And the book is fantastic. It's more about how weird Tommy is and his friendship with the author. Can't recommend it enough
