This was so great! I was a bit tentative on it but once they started production in the movie it was really great through the end!

Yes, Seth and Evan and crew don't get enough credit imo. They're probably my favorite people making comedy movies right now

Haven't seen TDA yet, I thought Sausage Party was terrible, didn't really care much for The Interview, but you're 100% right, they are doing some interesting unique things which I admire/respect.

    Sausage Party was lame

And just so everyone knows this was written by the guys who did 500 Days Of Summer and The Spectacular Now, Seth's just a producer

Absolutely. Sausage party was a letdown and the interview was 'ok, this is the end was solid... Haha and yea i know, I guess in the end it's hard to admire them since I just called most of their movies bad

But exactly at they're unique. They know how to get me in the theater

Wow, I had no idea. If anyone here hasn't seen The Spectacular Now, please do your self a favor and check it out. A lot of people don't like Miles Teller but I have a soft spot for him because of this movie and Whiplash, of course.

Superbad won them good will from me maybe forever. Everything else they’ve done I’ve found at least middling, or maybe just not for me, to very good.

This was excellent. Worth the hour and twenty minute drive. I had only seen The Room once when I was on mushrooms so I’m glad I rewatched it last week before seeing this. I thought they really did it justice.

Under no circumstances do you need to give credit for them for Sausage Party. That shit sucked and by all accounts, the animators on it were mistreated.

I legitimately do not think I laughed once during Sausage Party. Massive disappointment. Tbh, This Is The End is probably the only one I love, but god damn I love that movie.

It’s crazy how creative that movie could have been considering its premise, but it was just so god damn dull. There weren’t even really jokes in the movie, just silly situations. That can work in some formats, but in an animated movie, it really falls flat.

I can't imagine going to see a movie called Sausage Party on purpose

Sausage Party is easily in the lower-tier of Rogen/Goldberg projects, but I couldn't call it bad. I can appreciate the stupidity and ridiculousness of the film even if a handful of jokes didn't land. Though I wouldn't have guessed from watching all these movies that THAT film has an 80-odd score on RT, while much better Rogen movies like Neighbors 2 and The Night Before were in the 60s (not that RT score reflect quality and yadda yadda)

I didn't laugh really at Sausage Party or This Is The End, both were very bro-ey and they felt like they came up with concepts they thought were inherently funny like Channing Tatum in gimp gear or a giant food orgy without you know writing jokes

I dunno, Jonah Hill being a narcissist that addresses God as “Jonah Hill from ‘Moneyball’” is pretty hilarious.

The only thing i dont like about This is The End is that Emma Watson’s appearance is wasted on a stupid rape joke. Everything else is pretty solid.

I couldn't make it through Sausage Party. This Is The End is very funny, but visually it's fucking great. The Interview is fine.

I was watching some of this again, I love that they make a point to show Tommy grabbing all the little shit he brings to set (money, hair ties, keys etc) and stuffing it into his giant cargo pants because he doesn't trust anyone on set

I bet John Early lost his mind when he found out his name was listed between Sharon Stone and Melanie Griffith in the credits.

When I saw Sausage Party there was an older lady in front of me who got up and angrily stormed out during the orgy. My only thought was "you watched this whole film and this is the line?"

That's all I really have to share about Sausage Party, one of the only films I regret paying to see.

I saw three people walkout during Disaster Artist which genuinely surprised me. One couple, one random person.

It's not about sausage party being good. I mean I didn't think it was awful...just not written well

It's about this troop always coming out with unique comedies
