Ha, I've already been to Vienna before (in which I also attended Warped Tour Euro edition lol) and fly out of Budapest a day and a half later, but this is a distinct possibility.
Officially seeing the Nil tomorrow in Vienna! Even roped in my friend who has no idea what they sound like lol
Well you cats this was one of my favorite concerts I've ever been to. Ended up talking to Luke before the show in which I mentioned I was an American dude who had seen them before lol. Probably about 50 people in this room but the crowd was really receptive and stoked after being quiet early. Luke had a bunch of room to come into the crowd for like 3-4 songs. He brought he mic down for Husker Du and I got to sing the call and response outro. Then, they and Empty Lungs (opener) covered Surrender for the encore and he again came down and I sung the entire second chorus haha. Ended up talking to him and the new bassist afterwards for like 20 minutes. Performance-wise, I believe they played 3-4 new songs which sounded great. Thereafter, they played a healthy mix between Higher Power and Minimum R&B.
They did not, but, I'm actually gonna be at the Frankfurt airport at the same time as their new bassist tomorrow so I might meet up with him lol. Could ask then if so.
Saw them at Bled Fest last week and they are just so fucking good live. I really enjoy the new bassist, I think he does a great job and is actually a way better fit with the band. The new songs sounded awesome, hopefully we get a new record this year! Thought seeing them at Bled they'd have a little bit of a crowd but they didn't which was a bummer. I think seeing them at Fest will be awesome though. I think the Against Me tour is gonna turn some heads. Edit: Also, judging from their live act, i think Ross fits in with the band's fun vibe more as well. I wonder if he'll get any lead vocal time or not like David did
I did pickup my tickets for AM! and The Dirty Nil. I actually plan on sticking around to see them perform this time.
I'll have to listen to these guys more, they were so good last night. Lots of energy. It was a really fun time.
I haven't listened to the Culture Abuse album in a while. I'll have to queue that up for later. Have they announced anything for their next one yet?
They released a single awhile back. No official word yet though, I'd imagine it's done Speaking of which get these two on tour together next year
