Yeah this could already be my favorite release alongside Zombie and Transit Blues. The unreleased tracks all rip, and Forlorn in particular stood out with its groove and the dancey electronic bits. I kinda got Northlane vibes from it.
This was absolute nuts. Great catalogue choices for the first five songs and perfect execution of the EP. “Nora” and “Contagion” are my favorites.
Man that was awesome. Can't wait for Friday to hear the recorded versions, but they sounded so good here.
I believe Nora’s live mix to be better than the EP version. Hope that gets a release further down the line.
Listening to them side by side I think I agree, you can hear the guitar parts a bit more clearly in the live version. Regardless, fantastic EP and fantastic birthday present!
Been only a casual fan for ages but this fucking destroys. The breakdown at 2:30 in Nora gives me life/big ETID vibes
Huh, I never considered Zombie 2 to be an analogy to NBA Playoff eliminations. Truly a band that reaches across entertainment lanes!
That's so funny, I was just thinking the other day about how Space EP feels like it never gets mentioned or talked about, much like how 8:18 feels like their least acknowledged album
I wonder if Space 2 or a regular full-length will come first. I don't mind another shorter release if the quality remains this consistently high. They're in their prime.
You can really hear the djent-influenced metalcore sound in this. Zombie EP was very much a representation of ‘06 - ‘10 metalcore, but this is a much more modern approach. If I was to show someone an example of past and present metalcore I would show them both Zombie EPs.
damn I fell off this band since Transit Blues but Z2 fucking rips. was not expecting "Nora" to go that hard
