Thought I had played the wrong song at first.

this is fine, but i wish it was a bit stronger melodically. Ritual is the only one of these singles that i really loved so far.

can't wait for some people to be up in arms about them releasing their first explicit track

Mmmmmm, nice and stinky. Just how I like it.

Big meh. Ritual is the best track of the four and Wave is the weakest.

They’ll achieve a wider audience so good for them but this ain’t it for me.

I've only skimmed through them but I actually dig the sound they're going for, I'll check out the album when it's released.

    just one of those ghosts

Yeah me too—I'm here for it. Ritual has grown on me a lot since it first came out. I think they are doing the metal with wider pop appeal thing better than a lot of their contemporaries.

i do like their lean into pop, i just think the melodies could be a lot stronger on a couple tracks. The Act had some great hooks, and Color Decay had a few as well. hoping the other 10 tracks have the same strength as Ritual because that's one of their better late career songs (WTFNG gets close, but only in parts)

Maybe it's just me, but the artwork and sound of these songs would greatly benefit from a spring/summer release. The fact that this is coming out in November while living in the PNW just amuses me a bit.

PS: This is the album where they finally realllllllllllly lean into their softer sound, huh? I don't hate it necessarily and it's obvious this has been coming, just need to kinda rewire my brain that the old TDWP is over like, say, Architects.

This my shit. 8:18 and The Act are my favorite albums of theirs and this seems right in line with those.

You know what........at a different time in my life I'd say the almighty GOATS ON A BOAT was my favorite opener but as the band has evolved I definitely agree with you on that one.

Sassafras is great, but i have a bigger soft spot for Gloom. Dead Throne is a good opener for that album, but i've always found it a tiny bit lacking.

the closest competition to Gloom for me is Escape.

Yeah the artwork being so Midsommar/Maypole coded is definitely giving Spring, not Fall. However, I gotta say, I really dig WTFNG
