I’m relistening to the album and just wanted to mention that Hallucinate is an absolute jam and Mike is one of my favorite harsh vocalists.

yeah, that's about the only thing I'd know to call Babymetal

 

If FFAK gets played on Octane TWDP definitely does as well. Not a fan of either band but I enjoy a lot of what Octane plays.

 

The average alternative rock / mainstream heavy sound has shifted over the years and now includes djent guitars, breakdowns and other typical modern metalcore elements. TDWP is now firmly in that lane. Doesn’t make me think any different of them, though do I think some of their newer songs have been a little inconsistent.

 

I'm partial to the term buttrock because 1. it's just funny and 2. it can serve as a guidance for something that is genuinely boring and generic rock, of which there is a ton out there

TDWP does not fall under that even with their newer songs I'm not as fond of though lol

It's been long enough, I think The Act is better than Color Decay.

Also, For You is way too short. It's overstuffed with ideas and there's no room to breathe. Sadly, I'm not excited about Flowers but I am curious if that makes sense.

Idk about optimistic. Ritual also felt a smidge off.

 

These two singles are more of the same thing they have been doing and the end of Flowers being heavy feels so forced...
