Hopefully, its better than this album. Did a discography run of the band in a Discord and most of their material has been good to great but this album...

 

Always love TDWP EP’s. Hoping this has some Zombie/Space energy.

 

It is the two recent singles and two new songs.

 

The three slower moodier tracks in the back half really do it a disservice. I think Broken earlier in the album is ok, but those last 3 I just don't really care for. Otherwise, Color Decay is great.

 

Hallucinate from that album is one of their best songs in years

I wouldn’t mind if this band just puts out eps, tbh

 

This album rules, is that not a popular opinion? Got me back into after not caring for quite a while.

 

Dead Throne is their best imo

 

I like Exhibition, Noise, Sacrifice, Trapped, and Hallucinate off Color Decay but I rarely return back to it tbh. Same goes for The Act too sadly.

I’ve been a huge fan of this band since Roots but I don’t like the direction they’re taking all that much. Ritual is alright but For You is a snooze fest IMO so I’ll check out the EP but my expectations are pretty low.

 

Yeah, the last two albums have been mid, but everything before that is great.

 

Zombie through Transit Blues are the peak of the band's sound. everything after that has been great too for the most part. WRAABB is the only early record of theirs i can go back to at this point.

 

Color Decay is probably my least favorite but I still enjoy the majority of songs from it. And The Act is still killer to me.

Ritual is ok, but I don't particularly care for For You.

I do enjoy all of their albums and EPs though, even Dear Love and Plagues. They're such a good part of scenecore to me.

 

I personally think Roots, Dead Throne, and both Zombie EPs are their peak.

I wish they would go in the direction of ZII musically but I’m sure they’re trying to achieve a wider audience so that ain’t happening.

 

Just put on ZII and Nightfall sounds better to me than anything off their last few records lol

 

EP? hmm.

i feel like color decay gave them a new lease of life that they are squandering by not getting another full length out

 

They’re probably putting out an EP for now and then a full length later next year with that EP included (I hate when bands do that)

Yep most likely ep next week, album announcement then album in November, from what I’ve seen.

Loved about 3/4 of Color Decay and the entirety of The Act. I personally prefer their output from Space ep forward.

Oh wow wasn't the big rumor that it was just gonna be an EP with 4 songs? That's cool at least, hoping the rest of the songs are better than For You
