10th Anniversary Edition of The Crane Wife coming out inn December. Looks amazing.

Apparently the 10th Anniversary Edition is on Spotify. Haven't seen it on Apple Music yet though.

 

Again rubbing it in people's faces that for once the festival is in my back yard. Quote me if y'all end up coming!

 

Saw their first show in a while last night. It was fantastic, of course. They messed up a few times. They played 2 new songs "Traveling Along" I would maybe compare to down by the water; "We All Die Young" has kind of a country saloon thing going on. They also played the full 18 minute "The Tain" for the first time since 2009 according to (setlist.fm)

 

Did they tell anything about future plans, releases, etc?

 

Negative, just a kind of vague "we're working on some new songs and we're gonna try a couple out tonight" comment.

 

Thanks, at least new material ahead, not only touring.

 

Their last record was so great. "Lake Song" is a top 5 decemberists song for me

The Decemberists are great. Really loved the last 2 albums.

 

Listened to The King Is Dead today. I forgot how basically perfect the back half of that album is

The version of Culling of the Fold with the guy from Harvey Danger really should have made cut on The Crane Wife. It’s The Decemberists at their most menacing best.

 

Any clue when new album will be released ??
