I wonder if this is the last act. I remember reading that Casey said there would be Final Act fall tour this year.

I thought so too. Plans might've changed though, and he could've combined them into one last album.

Wait, I still haven't listened to act IV.

This year is absolutely insane.

 

Oh my god, I was not expecting another Dear Hunter album just a year after the last one. I am way too excited for this. haha

 

I'm glad the acts will be over. Ready for another album like Migrant

 

Migrant is my least favorite album they've put out. I'll miss the Acts.

 

Well this all developed rather quickly

 

I never really got deep into any of the non-Act stuff that much.

 

Migrant is hands down my favorite Dear Hunter record.

EDIT: I realize this is an unpopular opinion, but I stand by it strongly.

 

Migrant is cool. Not my favorite, but cool.

I am with you 100%. Hearing Casey without him trying to filter his life through a concept made for a very emotional album, and his vocal delivery on the songs I think really show the stronger emotional connection he had to them because of that. And as much as I like the huge symphonic stuff, I really enjoyed him kind of pulling back a bit and letting the songs breathe.

Migrant


Haven't really listened to The Color Spectrum since it was released

 

Migrant > Act IV > Color Spectrum > Act 3 > Act 1 > Act 2.

 

Migrant is my favorite of the full-length records. The Color Spectrum is my favorite of his material.

Stoked for Act IV but disappointed to see it is crazy long again. I really don't need another 15-16 song album. Give me a good, concise 10-11 songs and I'll be happier. Act IV reaaally dragged near the end.
