When Act V comes out I plan on just taking a day out of my life and listening to all 5.

 

Light

 

Light is awesome, it's nice to hear something so stripped down from Casey again.

 

Damn I'm so hyped

Edit: Not too stoke about Light though, compared to the other tracks. It's nice and Casey has a great voice but these soft, acoustic songs don't really capture the depth of his creativity like their other stuff. It's an OK song. I think he hit his peak with this style with the Green EP though.

 

ugh people receiving preorders early and talking about the record on Reddit. great to see early impressions.. I NEED THIS TO STREAM TODAY..

 

It's "out there" but honestly didn't sound very good and seemed like the ends of songs cut off, or at least the transitions between tracks were pretty abrupt. I'm just going to wait until it's actually available tomorrow.

 

I'm not gonna let a record that could end up in my top 10 of the year be ruined by a bad leak lol

 

totally forgot about this, definitely excited again now!

I'm really excited to hear which direction they're taking musically on a non-act album.

 

Yeah, I listened to the first 5 tracks and then decided I could just wait for better quality.

 

No Apple Music yet.. Wondering if they arnt streaming it for a bit. May grab on iTunes if it's not up by midnight lol

 

Yeah looks like it's not on streaming as of now... I respect the decision, even if I'm not sure if it's one I agree with lol.

 

So anyone listened to this yet? Thoughts?

 

A much better quality leak is out there now.

 

I'm really impressed, it's probably one of their most consistent albums to date. Favorites on first listen was Mr. Usher (On His Was to Town) and The Flame (Is Gone). Even though this might change, I still prefer to more light and upbeat songs of IV. This feels like its darker brother.

I'm astounded at the overall consistency of their entire discography. Wow.

 

It's not steaming until next week. I broke down and bought it.. Oh well

Enjoying this way more than I thought I would and way more than Act IV. Really feels like they grew on this record while Act IV felt like more of the same

Only a few tracks in but this is a really dark record
