Dark Tower Song Arrives, Is the Trailer Coming Soon?

 

I was just talking to a buddy about how every fucking trailer had a god damn cover song and that I was hoping TDK would transcend that trend

 

If this adaption doesn't turn out well a part of me will die inside.

 

I'm convinced at this point it's not going to :/

 

Adaptions of Stephen King books have such a spotty track record it wouldn't be a shock, but I'm gonna stay optimistic until I see the trailer at least.

The It adaption, on the other hand, looks like it will be pretty bad. The Pennywise costume is all wrong.

 

What the hell is going on with The Dark Tower movie?

 

Seems production on this has gone all 19

 

Idk. The silence may work in this one's favor. 10 Cloverfield had like two months of run up and anything King's name is attached to will draw seats. Same with Matt and Idris.

 

I'm not so concerned with it selling seats as I am with it being hot garbage

 

10CL was a surprise when it was announced, though.
folks have been tracking this for a while and seeing it get pushed back again and again doesn't help people's confidence in it.

 

(Titanic was delayed)

 

I don't see this performing well tbh. Besides the King/Tower fans. It's sort of a hard sell imo. Except for maybe Idris Elba. But honestly, having a big name actor doesn't guarantee ticket sales so, who knows.

 

It could be if they at least attempted to market it

 

Hard to tell but MM is at the top of that poster.

Movie is real and apparently not going to be delayed.

 

I'm a huge King fan, but I'm not sure his name is as big of a selling point as it used to be, is it? Of course his books are still best-sellers, but when it comes to film adaptations, I'm not sure the iron is as hot as it was twenty years ago or so

Trying not to get excited cause of a dang poster but...it's a pretty dope poster

 

The books feature sex, people's heads exploding, rape, and plenty of "fucks". This movie better be R

 

Finished my Gunslinger re-read yesterday. Even if it's not a direct adaptation, that provides an amazing film in its own right.

 

This and It Comes at Night are my favourite posters so far this year

 

they just showed a trailer at Cinemacon, no clue when it will show up online
