Personally feel seeing the original before the show is a little depressing lol

 

Each episode keeps getting better and better. I legit don’t want this show to end.

 

I just watched the whole series and then the movie. Doesn’t really reveal anything that will ruin the movie, but I do think the movie feels weak after the show. The characters just don’t feel as fleshed out and it’s pretty slow compared to the show.

 

I just finished that episode. It reminded me of in Star Trek when Picard was assimilated by the Borg, especially since they always say “we are Borg”.

 

If anyone is interested, there are some recent Dark Crystal comics that are canon. Beneath the Dark Crystal and Power of the Dark Crystal are sequel series. One of them is by one of my favorites, Simon Spurrier. I need to read them after I finish the show lol.

 

Finally got to episode 5. God every episode improves on the last. The dream realm sequence was awesome. Love where the story’s going and “Prove the strength of your spoon...by my side” is the quote of the year.

 

Finally finished this. This show is absolutely fantastic, probably my favorite of the year. Reaaaally pushing that PG rating, more like PG-10 or something.

 

The torture scenes were brutal

 

The scene with the scientist in the finale?????? Wtf my jaw dropped

 

Slowly still going through this. The scene where the skegksis are eating was so crazy. Great practical effects

 

Lolllllll the general just randomly/aggressively eating the lamps in a throne room was so great


This show is great.

 

Jesus episode 7 was fucking incredible. How in actual hell is this rated pg? I would’ve had nightmares for sure if I watched this as a kid.

 

Turns out a YouTuber I’ve been following for years worked on this show! So cool!

 

I can't believe that this has been cancelled!!

 

Total bummer. One of my favorite Netflix shows.

 

Absolutely devastated. Was an absolutely riveting watch...is there any good merch for it? Might buy the series on DVD in case NF takes it off

 

Wow. The practical effects were so good, and I loved the prequel. So much care went into it...

 

Yeah, it wasn't just a show. Everything from the making of, the bloopers, the cast... I'm really surprised and devastated. I need that story continued.

 

man, this and Manndalorian were two of the highlights of last fall for me.

 

Very disappointed about this being cancelled because it was absolutely awesome, but after watching the making-of's it did seem like it was always going to be a very expensive production and then the budget ballooned in a huge way while they were making it and Netflix just threw all the money at it. I've been nervously expecting them to cancel this just because of how expensive it seems to have been and how Netflix handles these things, but I was really really really hoping to be wrong. All the more frustrating because you know Netflix has the money.

After watching this the first time I honestly couldn't believe we got a Dark Crystal movie on this level with these production values at all, and I am really happy that we did.

I'm babbling, but basically I am crushed but not surprised.
