Really glad to have this band back. Also really cool to see him name a song after his daughter.... I half expected the album to be named Luna or something like that.

I do hope AJ pops in here again and makes a statement. I can't remember the timing on all that shit, but I do feel it was probably even pre-GR. Jason / chorus (AP) have done a significant job in the last few years really bringing issues like this to the forefront, but I totally forgot about that whole pic incident either because not as much emphasis was placed on it back then, or I just didn't pay attention because I was much younger (or a combination of the two).

Really liking this track. Artwork is cool and the preorders are all reasonably priced.

 

I teared up a lil on the train listening to the new song. Not bc it's the best song in the world or anything (though I do enjoy it very much), just thinking about how 5 or 6 years ago how much I hated myself and how miserable I was and how TDS was really what got me through each day. And now we get more. It feels like the soundtrack to my life is continuing. Still don't know how to deal with it really tbh

 

Does that include not downloading or streaming any songs from Spotify or Apple Music because i'm pretty sure that supports them monetary wise. If so, you'll have to download it on google or just listen to the songs on Youtube because they won't mention the photos unless it makes a lot of coverage online.

Three of the members are not even in the band anymore so they definitely won't bring it up.

 

The song sounds pretty good. It's a slower starter but it kicks into gear nicely.

 

really diggin this song.. tho i liked Catholic Girls so im hesitant to preorder without hearing the rest of the album

Ehh, not grabbed by the new song. Kept waiting for the chorus to go somewhere and it did not. Always grabbed by the sound these guys bring though so I'm def interested in a new album.

 

Yeah, songs whatever. Like the drums and intro...a few decent lines but not great. So pumped they are back.

 

I loved that chorus melody, even though it's nothing new.

"Those legs, draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag again."

 

hope so too. not listening to the song for now, which really bums me out, but it's important to stay consistent with my judgments of bands. if i'm going to continue to bring attention to moose blood and neck deep for similar things, i better do the exact same with bands i love as well

 

Pre-ordered this. Damn I hate how expensive shit is if you're from the UK.

I like it but I’m simultaneously torn due to the aforementioned allegations. Sure it’s the past and I’d imagine AJ is regretful but still hopefully AJ could pop in and address it. It’s still important to be held accountable.

 

Would it do anything though? I mean, I’m willing to bet he’d come and say something similar to what he’s said. “Hey, i was young and reckless and made stupid decisions that clearly had a negative impact on someone else. I’m sorry for that.” to which he’s kinda already alluded to in interviews.

But I certainly wouldn’t come to this community and do it, if I were in that situation. This community can get pretty hostile from time to time, WHICH IS FAIR. own up to what you’ve done, but we all know we’ve seen the comments around here and they aren’t always welcoming of apologies, especially if there’s the chance they’re viewed as a PR tactic or half assed.

 

Did I miss something that AJ did in the past or is does this all concern the Cody Payne stuff?

Sure but you have to wonder if he doesn’t think those blanket statements are actually him doing that. For me, if I had done something like that, I would make it right between myself, my wife & family, and the person I did it to. Then I’d leave it at that.

I’m not saying he’s done that. I don’t know. But I wouldn’t come to a place like this and say I did.

 

Except he's been here before, literally on the last page of comments, and he knows everyone in here is a fan of his work. I can't speak for anyone else but I would completely be open to hearing him out and giving him a chance to explain and own up. Allusions in interviews aren't the same thing as specifically taking responsibility and apologizing. And, again, I can't speak for anyone but myself but I doubt there's anyone in here who wouldn't be receptive to that.
