The worst part of that album for me are the vocals and not the songwriting

I dug the vocals, Catholic Girls and Miles Apart are great performances

He pulled a reverse Polar Bear Club

 

catholic girls and miles apart are by far the best songs on the record but would be so much better with war paint vocals

 

I feel secondhand throat pain whenever i hear AJ's vocals on Golden Record. I enjoy heavy vocals but hes totally doing it the wrong way on that album

 

yeah honestly i worry for his throat haha.

we will wait in the fog is far and away the best track on the album imho

 

I totally get why his vocals bug some people on GR, but I don't mind them at all.

 

AJ was "hanging out" at Feldmann's studio yesterday...

 

Who produced their other albums?

 

Paul Levitt produced the EP and Reach For The Sun, not sure about the other 2 records. It'd be kind of funny if TDS followed All Time Low's example.

 

I want to say Leavitt did all three records.

 

I'm so tired of Feldmann's production

 

Leavitt did all three TDS records. by the time GR came around, i remember people on AP being kinda worn out and wanting them to go with a new producer.

 

Feldmann at the helm of production is one of the few things that would totally deflate my interest in a TDS reunion.

 

i haven't listened to enough works of Feldmann's to possibly be tired of him. only thing he's produced that i've heard is Weird Kids (and Rotation, but i ain't heard that since high school)

 

The Used, Blink 182, SOTY, All Time Low, 5 seconds of Summer, Good Charlotte...whether you actively listen to those bands, his hands have been all over chart topping rock music for the past decade. Not necessarily a good thing for any band trying to stand out amongst the pack.

 

The Dangerous Summer isn't exactly a chart-topping band.... could be he HELPS them get the push they need to become bigger than they were before!

Yes producers make difference on how a record sounds. But I don't really like a lot of Will Yip produced albums, but The Menzingers record he did sound great.

 

Damn, Rotation. That's a reference I didn't expect to hear in [insert current year here].

 

God I want to hear it.

 

Also AJ just said on Facebook "there will be a full length"

Could be solo or TDS but at least now it's confirmed.

 

Also AJ and Feldmann were at Emo Nite LA together too. I really hope he's not the one producing though.

 

Man, I'm just happy AJ, Brian, and Tyler are still playing music.

Just listened to Dreamcatcher yesterday. So good.
