This article has been imported from chorus.fm for discussion. All of the forum rules still apply. The Dangerous Summer have been burglarized. A GoFundMe has been set up. We are trying to process getting a whole van of personal belongings, passports, laptops, cash, etc. stolen tonight. Not only us, but our crew, who have worked so hard on this tour. The @thebandcamino camp created a go fund me to help our camp https://t.co/JLAL3k3clh — The Dangerous Summer (@dangeroussummer) February 20, 2018 Expand - View Original
And here I thought their problems were behind them once they ditched Cody. But here I also thought van break-ins were a thing of the past (in that they used to get posted about on a weekly basis back during the AP days and I just assumed most bands had started taking appropriate prophylactic measures to prevent it.)
People who do this to small working bands have no name. It's encouraging to see that they're almost at their goal after such a short time, though.
I was burglarized by The Dangerous Summer from that kickstarter DVD project. Never did get my money back.
Do these bands not have insurance? Serious question. Property/Renters insurance is not that expensive and would easily cover this loss.
Sucks for this to happen to them after coming back for a reunion. I have tickets to catch these guys in the UK with Moose Blood in a few weeks, guess that'll be affected by this?
Honestly hate when this happens, generally when I see one of these headlines, it's sadly in my home city of Chicago.
It’s hard to give the band any money after that. They should just offer free tickets or something to the backers now. I think it was only like 400 backers.
