A surprise! Thought the album was JUST finished recording, so never expected anything so soon. It is an interesting song, huge departure from their past work.
sam pura needs to put down the damn pitch correction. the vocals are way too over produced even for my taste. the last the story so far suffered from the same issue.
Not sure about this one. It’s not bad but it feels a little bland. Definitely not loving the production, but I’ll need to spend more time with it before deciding if I like it or if it’s a dud.
Wow makes sense, didn’t realize same producer. My only problem is really the vocals. Just sounds ... off. The song is fine and I like the departure, but I don’t nearly like this as much as some tracks on the last album.
TDS has always had some AVA subtleties, in my opinion... but if AVA is "spacey", TDS is "earthy" if that makes sense lol. Liking this new track!
That's a pretty fuckin baller song. Still weird to me that this band is making music again, let alone 2 albums in 2 years
I think I need to listen to the song without the video. That substance use in the video was pretty dumb and I’m not one to care about that kind of stuff. It took me out of it.
An album is incoming. I saw them open for The Early November back in October and AJ said on stage that they were going to record an album like the following week.
I actually the vocal production, kinda makes him sound a little less...rough around the edges. Also his voice is really not very flexible and never has been and it gives it a little something extra that we haven't heard from him. good song. the last record is fine but it didn't stick with me. did not enjoy them live last year.
first thing I thought was how much I love how the vocals sound, both production wise and in terms of AJ's vocal tone. just sounds so crisp and effortless and transcendent. really sounds like he's in a much clearer and healed space these days, which is beautiful
The last album had a couple amazing songs but overall was kinda disappointing for me. This song is great, looking forward to more
Reading the AVA comparisons kinda ruined the song a little for me haha. Now all I can hear is Atom Willard drumming with a much better vocal melody over the beat. Love Pt 3.
Idk, the riff is more Move Along than AvA Also, this sounds so much better than S/T. Much more crisp and spacious
Love the song, the vocals are a bit overdone but I like it that way. Can see how it could aggravate though.
