Saw these guys supporting Moose Blood (I know) tonight. They got a great reception and people were coming over to them after and saying how good they thought they were (Including my friend Elliot who hadn't listened but now says he will). The set list was short and mostly new album leaning, but Permanent Rain got a big pit and people going nuts, and Work In Progress ended with AJ in the crowd screaming into the mic with people and thanking those of us who went nuts for them, and they definitely won people over. They were really good and I spoke with AJ and the guys after and they were really polite and nice and let me know about a secret UK gig or two and I'm very hyped now.
talked to the band after a show in January and they said they'd be back in MI in April or May...just got an email this morning they're playing here in May, so they did not disappoint. fucking stoked because I'm loving the new album even more since that show and it'll be great to hear more than 2 songs off of it.
I assume it was playing Slam Dunk but they're also back for a headline tour 'in the fall' is what AJ said.
I love this band and their beautiful new record so much. I had to find a way to appropriately pay tribute to all they've done in my life: Also, Hopeless Records are an amazing group of people. The video was initially blocked by YouTube immediately after uploading. I filed a dispute, and the person in charge of reviewing my claim at the label allowed it to be approved and viewable in all countries. Awesome.
Revisiting this after months of not listening to it. It’s still an awesome album and i think I like it even more now than I did before. It’s summer and summer reminds me of TDS, so that’s probably why.
Ok this is all I've been listening to the last 3 days. So damn good. They got me considering ditching my Death Cab show to see them the same night.
This didn’t stick with me like I thought it would but it’s good to have them back and this album is fine
Yeah, I didn't go back to this a ton either. Winter was an odd time to release this album. I put "This Is Life" on my summer playlist and it got a ton of spins, though.
I still adore this album. I really started listening to it in March with a bunch of Spring-ish drives I had to made for work. It was perfect for the road trips
Every time I listen to it I enjoy it a lot. It's just a sharp contrast to the days when I played War Paint virtually nonstop for two months straight.
Spotify says I listened to them the most this year. It was a weird time for release but man did it and does it feel good.
Color was my most listened to song on Spotify this year, which is crazy. It’s probably only because the album came out so early on. I did a lot of my Sleepwalkers listening on my record player, since Etta James should be my song of the year.
I thought this album was a great re-entry with a few great ass songs. Think the next one will be improved.
"This Is Life" and "Fire" for me. The "I wish every person that I knew was in one room right now..." line still just kills me.
