This album keeps growing on me. That guitar solo in Infinite just kicks my ass every single time. It'll never replace RFTS for me because nothing will ever replace RFTS, but it's already inching toward being equal with War Paint.
I can play Infinite on repeat and still not tire of it. It's awesome. It's like his "motorcycle driveby" song, haha. Still will always prefer the poppier RFTS and WP style over this, but this is a great record. Big step up from GR in my opinion.
Right?? First thing i thought when i heard the song. Has a similar build and captures that bittersweet feeling well.
Trying to get into this but I’m really not a fan of the rough vocals, even though I liked Golden Record. Hopefully it grows on me.
Album is awesome. Per usual (besides Golden Record) it is growing on me with each listen. These guys will get their due one of these days soon.
Does anyone here like Golden Record? Catholic Girls is one of their top songs Sins, Honesty,Anchor, Knives, Miles Apart, Into The Comfort all solid. Not one song I skip on it, still 3rd best (not sure where to put the new one yet in ranking) but it's a good album. Feel like it's under appreciated.
I love Golden Record, it’s my second favorite behind RFTS. love every song except Fog, which is kind of a dud to me
catholic girls, sins, and knives are up there with the best songs in their discog but not a single other song on the record does anything for me
The first three tracks of Golden Record are so great and then it just goes downhill from there and it never comes back up IMO.
Golden Record does have Catholic Girls and Miles Apart, but it’s just pretty meh overall. And I swear AJ probably lost his voice for 3 years after recording that.
I like Catholic girls, sins, drowning, and knives. That’s really all I like off Golden Record. I do also like the alternate versions of said tracks.
GR has some stellar cuts. some songs like Drowning, Into The Comfort, and Honesty get lost in the catalog but Catholic Girls, Knives, Miles Apart, I'm So Pathetic, and We Will Wait In The Fog are among my favorite GR songs.
I turned my back on the rope tied to my ceiling There's a reason I won't go there anymore his best lyrics
Live Forever is a great penultimate track too. One of the few times the pop punk drumming (at the end) really works And I just realized I love colors so much because it sounds like a lost the graduate track
