TDS is one of only a few bands I listen to these days (tastes have transitioned to more electronic/dj oriented), but I love the music just as much as my warped tour going self did. The other bands I listen to still are vastly more 'popular', but there is something so special about AJs talent and those that have graced the band they have managed to stick with me to the point MN is maybe my favorite album of theirs. Nice work there Sam! If they are going ALL IN on the music - no label and attempting to start their own, no solid secondary income - then I really really hope they find it in themselves to grow up and display the professionalism, maturity, and healthy habits so that their musical talents are sustained. Naming the new label MollyWater music is an AWFUL start to that. Professionalism does not mean selling out or giving up all the drugs and partying. It's about acting as if your music career is your livelihood.
Still think it’s a weird thing to judge people based solely off of social media stories/posts. Not saying I know all the answers, but AJ and co. seem like hard working, passionate, good people. I’m confused at criticizing anyone’s parental skills just cause they smoke and drink (which looks mostly during recording sessions and tour, and most importantly, never around his daughter). It seems like AJ gets some of the most shit out of any other active artist Mentioned on this site (whether out of genuine or misguided love/concern. No one mentions all the posts of his active/quality time with his gf and daughter. Again, just a weird thing to constantly criticize. Also, I love the work that Sam did on MN, but I’d be very surprised if they worked with him in the future after he low key/ passively called them out to their fanbase Here just a couple days ago. Idk the depth of their relationship, but the post came off a bit catty. Perhaps i read it wrong and I don’t know the whole backstory. I could be wrong and hypothetically he could be someone who “cleans up their act” and doesn’t look back fondly at this time in his life in the future, but thats assuming he doesn’t have his priorities in order. I’m not saying he does or doesn’t. But this is one of the most active bands in the scene for the last three years, and AJ posts a lot of inspiring messages. So my guess is that he has a good head on his shoulders. He seems to More at peace with himself and his life imo and is quite vocal about loving himself and his life. Im happy for him, just 4-5 years ago he was working a good job that he seemed content enough with, but seeing him Be so rejuvenated And excel at his true passion has been one of the greatest things about TDS reunion. This is what he was born to do, and I can’t wait to see him continue to succeed
I never saw AJ's site before:AJ Perdomo I'm really considering buying some handwritten lyrics. Would love to have This is Life and Blind Ambition framed on my wall.
I got the handwritten lyrics and opted for the letter too. I love them and it’s a cool way to support.
A.J is doing a live stream show of songs tonight. Doesn't say exact time yet he is on but here is the link
I'm new to spotify but AJ made a playlist of all the songs he did guest vocals on. And it was like hundreds of songs. Ill find it and post it here if I can
got ya. Highly suggest everyone checking out Strange Vacation. There’s some other decent stuff on here too.
