Crazy to think my first time listening to this album was on “95 southbound” on a road trip down to Key West... particularly heavy time of my life too... Definitely an experience.
So excited for these shows coming up. Gonna get out to two of them. super pumped to hear RFTS in full AND some tracks off of this.
Same, although I can only get to one. RFTS in full, the first seven tracks off Mother Nature, then No One's Gonna Need You More and Everyone Left is my perfect Dangerous Summer setlist.
pretty much the same for me. I’d probably risk a few MN tracks to hear Disconnect and Of Confidence off the first EP (the Mother Nature tracks are way better but nostalgia)
So, I'm definitely going to the Nashville gig. And get the vip. But now my stepson wants to go that we've found out it's all ages. Its not very fair to make him wait outside while I go in and get the meet greet etc. But we dont need 2 posters, 2 vinyls, etc. Is it realistic of me to think someone here or somewhere else online would pay $50 for those items, cancelling out the cost of his VIP upgrade?
And IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII, must be weak, If you couldn't tell, I couldn't breathe, Bring me back to life now, Bring me back to peace, Give me back the sun now, Can ya give it back to me?
Was it everything I ever wanted Fuck, I never knew that summer started That is the dumbest line and I love it so much hahah, so I guess it’s not so dumb after all.
I still remember this band as having two albums so when I looked at their recent setlists I'm amazed they play nothing from War Paint
I was hanging out with AJ in July and I told him that was my favourite record of theirs and he said he absolutely loved that record too, so I have no idea why they don't play a single song from it.
Speculation was that the songs were straining his voice. Work in progress has been rotating in and out of sets for a little bit now. On the last tour I think the only song they played constantly was acoustic no one’s gonna need you more.
Bands constantly tune down for long tours and it's almost unnoticeable to most people. I don't know why they wouldn't just do that.
Still don’t love the album like many of you do. Don’t think they will ever reach the heights of the previous albums I fell in love with with. Honestly don’t think vocally he has it in him.
It’s obviously subjective in nature but they went from legit my favorite band to a band that released albums I’m just remotely interested in. While I think I prefer both of the albums post break up more than golden record holistically, I prefer the highs on that record more. I actually think I still prefer the comeback record to this album. I don’t dislike it but it’s still the album I return to the least in the discog.
I think that, and Bring Me Back To Life for me... I definitely had a moment or two with that song, where it just hit me way too hard and close to home. It was just one of those songs that came out right at a time and it feels like they almost wrote the song for you personally, where it’s almost scary... ya know?
