Btw I saw their most recent Instagram story. Sounds like Way Down is doing pretty well on Sirius radio!
To my ears, FWIW Top Tier Elite: Prologue/Blind Ambition Starting Over/Slow Down Where Were You When The Sky Opened Up Mother Nature Consequence of Living Very Very Good: Bring Me Back To Life It Is Real Good: Way Down Virginia Violent Red Better Light No skippable tracks. All around great album. Cheers to Dangerous Summer fans.
The only songs I've been skipping lately are Violent Red and Consequence of Living. I've played the shit out of Prologue/Blind Ambition, Where Were You and Mother Nature. Still not sick of them!
Oh man, Consequence of Living just punches me right in the feels, and it wasn't even written for people in my situation. I just adore it though, especially after a few drinks.
Better Light has really been hitting me lately for some reason. Mainly when I’m stoned and it’s the middle of the night, which is how I listen to this album the most.
I just smoked for the first time in forever and currently listening to this album. As if this album couldnt hit me any harder.
Tried to put this in order: Top Tier Elite: Starting Over/Slow Down Prologue/Blind Ambition Bring Me Back To Life Violent Red Very Very Good: Mother Nature Where Were You When The Sky Opened Up Better Light Consequence of Living Good: It Is Real Virginia Way Down
I like consequence of living better than infinite. Oh and give me back the sun now Can you bring it back to me That hits sooo hard.. I love this album. Virginia came on as I was typing this. "Let me know you're holding on..for one more day." Then it jams.
Definitely had parts of every song on this album stuck in my head I’ve the last few weeks. I know I’ve said this before but it is just surreal to me still that they are back, and then on top of that to be making music like this. Wow. And top track after a few weeks of listening: hard to pick between Mother Nature and Virginia.
First half of the song is recorded in my ISO booth. Uncomfortably detailed and lacks any ambience. Cool effect. Then the big section hits and that was done in my big room. Almost did the wear house but would have been too drastic of a change.
I listened to this album front to back on release and have had it playing regularly ever since. I must say I’m really enjoying it. This is also the first album of theirs I have ever listened to. Just so happens I found out they are playing at king tuts in Glasgow with free throw so bought a ticket. Couldn’t turn that down. I love free throw and that venue is 300 cap and one of my favourites in Glasgow. So I think seeing TDS live for the first time in a small venue will be pretty cool. Looking forward to it. Any recommendations on what other albums of theirs are worth checking out?
Reach for the Sun and War Paint. Listen to those two a hundred times and learn all the words because everyone at the show will know all the words as well
Just curious, been wondering for a long time... why has TDS's back catalog disappeared from YouTube/streaming services? Anyone know? I don't think even all of their current stuff in up, just singles... at least on YouTube.
because Hopele$$ Records are the only label that still thinks having a band's music on Youtube deters sales
