They tuned to 443 or whatever that conspiracy theory number is on the self titled. They asked me if I wanted to do that on this new one and I was like “if you really want to. I don’t” so we didn’t.
Man, the USPS tracking for my package has been so fucked up. It said will be delivered by May 31 8PM then no update till this morning where it said it was delayed till today by 8PM, THEN said it was delivered, then went back to In Transit, and now I’m just waiting like wtf. Also said it left San Antonio last night but it’s still yet to be accepted by Brownsville USPS facility
Not sure what my favorite is. There are three or four songs on RFTS alone that could contend for that title. SO/SD may be the best TDS song and yet it’s not even my favorite on this album
I’d listened to most of this album in kind of a piecemeal way over the past few days but today I listened to it straight through during a long drive and realized that I hadn’t heard the last part of the title track yet. Holy shit. Definitely the most exciting their music has been since War Paint.
Mine is probably also Never Feel Alone, but after that there are so many contenders. Top 5 seems near impossible to figure out
“Weathered” will always have an impact on me that no other song from their discography will. Then again, haven’t listened to anything from MN aside from the singles. The 14th will be more informative. Very happy that everyone is enjoying this so much. Doing my best to hold out until release day.
Ok so this thread is always poppin’ I’ve only ever heard “Surfaced” from their first album which I really love. Probably a stupid question but for someone that usually does not like pop punk do y’all think I’ll find something to love in their catalog? I honestly thought they broke up after their debut. Not sure why.
@Jason Tate do you have access to any of the old reviews from AP? I was going to go back and look at Blake and Drew’s old TDS reviews for the site, but the Wayback Machine doesn’t seem to pull up any AP pages.
I would definitely recommend checking out their catalog, I think a lot of the people who love this band aren’t necessarily generally that into pop punk either
Reach for the Sun is a top 10 record all-time for me. I really recommend it. The songwriting from this band has always been head and shoulders above most other pop-punk bands.
Is that a song on this record? Also always stoked how some of us know each other so well on here that we can recommend stuff based on personal taste. ok anyways I'll listen and report back
My friend who hasn’t cared for any TDS since RFTS checked this album out and loved it. To me, that says a lot bc he is extremely critical with the genre. So that was awesome hear haha.
genres are stupid anyways and if I'm being real I'll turn my nose up at a bunch of bands but listen stuff like Relient K and early Mayday Parade every once in a while... what im trying to say is that my opinion is worthless
