Setlist for Chicago Bring Me Back To Life Where I Want To Be Catholic Girls Ghosts Luna Where I Want To Be (again) This Is Life Where Were You When The Sky Opened Up No One’s Gonna Need You More (Acoustic) Color Northern Lights Permanent Rain Never Feel Alone Way Down Infinite They were having some pretty significant technical difficulties during WIWTB so they played it twice lol. Everyone Left was on the setlist but they didn’t play it
Great set list. Everyone Left might be my favorite TDS summer song, odd one to skip. That bridge is just so good.
Wild to think that Work In Progress is no longer a set staple for them, but I’m really happy with what we got. Wish we got some other war paint cuts in but I can’t complain with those choices from rfts and s/t
They also tuned Way Down a few half steps, presumably so AJ wouldn't shred the remainder of his voice after the full set
oh my godddd the beat switch and triplet flow in Starting Over/Slowing Down what the fuckkkkk oh my goddddddddd Better Light what the FUCKKKKKKK
I’m actually less convinced that diehard TDS fans will love this album than before. You can pretty easily draw a straight line through the first 4 albums in terms of general style and AJ’s writing tendencies and it’s just all out the fuckin window here. This shit is ballsy
That's a GREAT setlist. I can't recall ever seeing an acoustic song, and Luna is a fantastic surprise. Anybody happen to get Have Mercy and Modern Chemistry? I need to brush up on them.
My preorder is sitting at the post office. Looks like i'll have it tomorrow but if it leaked today i wouldn't complain!
That song, Catholic Girl, Miles Apart, Knives, and We Will Wait In The Fog are the ones I go back to the most. Sins and Drowning are fine on their own but they’re a slog back to back. Honesty and Into The Comfort are a bit too bland and samey to me. Anchor is a functional but disappointing closer. I probably underrate GR more than I should though because those aforementioned songs I like I REALLY REALLY like
I totally agree with you about Anchor. I do go back to that song a lot. Its Anchor, Pathetic, and Fog for me.
I’ve now resolved that I won’t listen to any of the singles again until this leaks and I can hear the whole thing front to back. Won’t be easy considering I’ve literally been listening to them multiple times each per day, but I believe in myself, I can do this (I think).
