"Never Feel Alone" is my usual go-to, but "Settle Down" and "No One's Gonna Need You More" are right up there.
Never Feel Alone Catholic Girls Bring Me Back To Life The drums on the chorus of Never Feel Alone is easily a top 5 drums moment for me. Absolutely incredible part.
Such a tough question. I think for now my top choices are: Where I Want To Be Starting Over/Slow Down War Paint honorable mentions to This is Life, Infinite and Symmetry.
I really have no idea how I would choose a top 3, so here’s a top 2 from each album in this specific moment which will be different in a month: - Permanent Rain/Northern Lights - Waves/Parachute - Catholic Girls/Miles Apart - Color/Infinite - Blind Ambition/Way Down In there might be a top 3 lol
I wish the drums on Mother Nature sounded as good as the drums do here. Really enjoying this song, thanks for sharing AJ!
I feel like a song with this title should've sounded bigger. I dig it, but man was I waiting for a big breakdown in there.
I'm interested with AJ having said the next single being the opposite style of Fuck them All. Do you feel that means it will be crazy heavy with them having Gillespe on drums? Or maybe a surprise Better light type style. Hard to tell. Guess we will find out
My favourites are: 1. Parachute 2. It Is Real 3. Symmetry 4. The Permanent Rain 5. Waves A lot of these are for sentimental reasons, like Symmetry's "Remember Winnipeg?" being a sort of running reference with my friends, or Parachute being my old friendship groups favourite song. I've probably mentioned it but the bridge to Parachute is still my favourite moment in their catalogue. "Hold my hands out like I'm starting to break I'm seeing now what I'm doing to the people around me I'm not supposed to care this much And I ask myself yeah, who am I? Well, to anything, have I lost my health? I still harbor all my anger I've been staring at the colors in my veins How they stay How I still feel I'm tired, but awake And somewhere out there there is someone Thinking of what I haven't gave them yet And feeling that I can't in my disarray"
Went back for a full album listen through for the self-titled and yep, I love this album. This band has one “not great album” (Golden Record) and even on that I have a handful of songs that are up there for my most played.
I love Golden record all the way through. Which songs do you dislike? I know a lot of people don't like we will wait in the fog but I like that one
Funny enough I like that one, Catholic Girls is a top TDS track, Sins, and Miles Apart. I never, ever go back and listen to Drowning, Knives, Into the Comfort, I’m So Pathetic, and Anchor. In fact some of these I don’t even remember how they sound.
Favorites are hard. Where I Want to Be, Reach for the Sun, Work In Progress, and Where Were You When the Sky Opened Up, as of right now.
Off Golden Record, I think "Catholic Girls" and "Miles Apart" are the only all-timers. I think "Sins," "Honesty," "Fog," and "Anchor" are all very good. I more or less do not care about anything else on that record, and I actively dislike "Knives" and "Drowning."
I'll never forget playing Symmetry over and over....and over and over and over....when I first discovered RFTS. Something about that song just clicked like only a few special ones will.
"Knives" is one of my favourites lol. stopped my heart the first time I heard it, never thought this band would go to that place
