Catching the second night of the tour in Austin tonight. Show is sold out, looking forward to finally seeing TDS in front of a substantial crowd.

    Yes, setlist plz.

Chicago is sold out too, I'm excited. I know it's the comeback hype, but like atlas said, it'll be nice to see them in front of a bigger, hopefully enthusiastic crowd for once.

I won't be able to remember the entire setlist, but here's what I can recall:

-the only GR song they played was Catholic Girls-the only new songs were Fire, Color, and Ghosts.I was surprised actually that they didn't play more from the new album.
-opener was Where I Want to Be. They ended the "official" set with Work in Progress and ended the encore with Never Feel Alone and it kicked ass.
-songs I remember: Work in Progress, Everyone Left (!!! my favorite song, so fucking glad they played it), The Permanent Rain, Surfaced, Weathered, Good Things, No One's Gonna Need You More, War Paint.

    Overall impressions:

-AJ sounded good. There was something weird going on with his mic where his voice sounded bizarre for a few parts, I think they were so loud his mic was being overloaded because it sounded, like...warbly. But it was just an occasional thing, for the most part his voice sounded great. He can still sing clean when he needs to.
-For those wondering, they do have a guy playing rhythm guitar with them on this tour, which is great.
-There was a guy just sitting on the floor chilling behind Ben's drum kit the entire set. Never got up, never moved, no idea what he was doing. I guess he was the drum tech just sitting in case something happened with the kit? Idk. It was kind of creepy seeing his face peering out between the floor tom and the ride cymbal all night lol.
-They seemed SUPER pumped to be touring again. AJ is kind of a goofball live, he stopped after almost every song to say how amazing it felt to be playing in front of an audience again. At one point some random woman came up on stage with like a mini-bong? (I guess, I don't smoke) and he took a hit. That was super weird because it felt kind of scripted or something.
-The venue was pretty small, maybe 150 people there? But everyone was super into it. Singing along to every word.
-when they finished the "official" set with Work in Progress, in the end part where it's just him screaming, he dropped his bass and jumped down into the crowd with his mic stand. It was pretty funny. Then when they came back on stage for the encore his bass wasn't working anymore lol so they played most of The Permanent Rain without bass before the tech was able to get his backup plugged in and working.
-I have this weird neurological disorder where when I'm in a noisy environment it's difficult for me to distinguish different sounds. That means at shows if the mix isn't good everything becomes one giant roar, and sometimes my brain just straight up lies to me and tells me I'm hearing things that aren't actually there. I say that as a disclaimer, because...I THINK Matt was kinda off last night? It sounded like he was hitting a decent amount of bad notes. I really can't be sure though. Overall though they sounded great, the mix was good enough I could actually hear what was going on most of the time which is not a guarantee for me.

    Non-TDS impressions:
-Microwave was meh. They weren't terrible but I wasn't super impressed either. I picked up drums about a year ago and I watch drummers now more than I used to - this guy is impressive in that he can switch effortlessly between open and closed, but just zero dynamics. His only setting was "loud as fuck."
-The Band Camino, on the other hand...holy shit. One of the best sets I've ever seen. They fucking GROOVE, it was one of those sets where it was physically impossible not to move when they're playing. They also seemed just unbelievably pumped to be there. Their music was really fun, they were jazzed to be playing...just flat out FUN to watch.

Overall, a fantastic show. If you're going be sure to get there in time to see The Band Camino, I guarantee you won't regret it. TDS was great as well obviously.

It would appear the set in Dallas tonight was, if the setlist is to be believed:

    Where I Want To Be
    Sins
    Weathered
    War Paint
    Good Things
    Fire
    Northern Lights
    Ghosts
    Everyone Left
    A Space To Grow
    Catholic Girls
No One's Gonna Need You More
    Siren
    Work In Progress

    ENCORE:
    The Permanent Rain
Color/This Is Life (they're listed together)
    Never Feel Alone

    also Microwave:

    Tar
    Stovall
    Drown
    But Not Often
    Lighterless
    Whimper
    Busy
    Dull
    Something Right
    Vomit

I checked out the band Camino. Great stuff. Berenstein is a total jam. I was never a huge fan of TDS but I might join my buddies now and check these guys out

Anybody got the setlist for The Band Camino? They have a small catalog of seems, but just interested to see what's being played.

Hmmmm not really a great Microwave setlist

Could certainly be better. I don’t understand why they never play The Last and rarely play Work It Out. Those are two of my favorite Microwave songs and I think they would work perfectly in a live setting. (I also think Tar is the worst song on Stovall)

Opening with Tar is for sure whack. Grass Stains and Trash Stains should always be played though

Yes both are also essential. Weird

Seemed like they were a little over playing trash stains on the headliner. Hope it isnt gone for ever.

fwiw I saw another set that had the same songs but Tar was switched with Busy. Not my ideal set but *most* of my favorite songs are on there so it's not so bad

Not gonna remember the order, but songs I remember:

    California
    Who Says We're Through
    My Thoughts on You
    2/14
    For a While

I haven't had the opportunity to listen to them a ton on Spotify yet (too busy spinning TDS non stop lol) so I haven't even heard all their recorded songs yet, I'll add more when I can put songs to titles.

I’m debating on going to the Cleveland (Lakewood) date on this tour. I never saw The Dangerous Summer before the “break-up” and I really only know War Paint and based on one listen the new album was meh to me. I’m on the fence because I’d would like to see them and it’s at a venue I’ve never been to before but I also have the possibility of going to a real shit show: “Wrestling Legends - Live” Stand-Up Comedy and Karaoke with Jerry Lawler, Million Dollar Man and Jimmy Hart for free, as well as meet them (lofnl) and it’s less than ten minutes from where I’ll be and it’s free. Who knows which I’ll decide but I’ll give TDS discography another whirl and really think about it.

No, but they are selling a tour shirt that AJ’s wife designed and it looks pretty nice.
