Lager House in Detroit is 200-cap, I saw them play a 250-cap room headlining for the RFTS tour cycle.
AJ was on the Sappenin’ podcast, a uk rock thing, and it was pretty interesting. Talks about knowing he was a a dickhead early on, bad influences, his relationship with his daughter as a musician, a bit on not growing as a band and becoming okay with that, and a lot more. The hosts aren’t my cup of tea, to use a very British phrase, but AJ is very open, and it’s a good interview. Yeah I saw them at a small venue in Madison on the War Paint support tour and there were like 30 (maybe?) people there. even at the peak height of the band, they didn’t ever seem to be drawing large crowds in their own tours.
That’s probably half of the people in their crowds at this point. Given AJ’s behavior fans probably have a good chance drinking him regardless of paying for the VIP lol
The last decent tour they had was the State Champs tour in 2019? It’s definitely been a long time since they opened for anyone notable and given their reputation I could see why they haven’t been giving a lot of opportunities.
Believe it or not, they just played a wedding alongside Mariah Carey, and Boys 2 Men haha (Learned it from that podcast^) also A.J posted he was on Ozempic few months back, and I can def see it's been working
Ozempic? Huh must have missed that. I assumed that was Brian mcknight.... That's his song and looks just like him too. But Mariah, now that's cool.
The Ozempic was on a story when he said he's taking it. And yeah maybe the line-up changed. Not sure. This was all from the podcast
If there's a reason they haven't played anything from War Paint since 2018 (unless someone here knows why?).
